Dear Ms. Nelson:
Please find enclosed corrected Second Quarter 1993 Discharge
Monitoring Reports (DMR) for Outfalls 004, 005, 006, and 008,
-, NPDES Permit CO-0000221 (Seneca Mine Complex). Corrected values
• are indicated with red ink on the reports.
•- As can be seen on the DMR for Outfall 006, the corrected Total
-• Iron value of 3.62 mg/1 results in a minor exceedence of the 30-
day average maximum of 3.0 mg/1. My letter to you dated July
28, 1993 discussed the TSS (total suspended solids) excursion
that occurred at this site during April, and the Total Iron
exceedence is most likely due to the high TSS content of the
discharge at this time.
Please contact Brad Dingee of my staff if you have any questions
or require additional information.
Sincerely,
~~ lJ. ~~~
Gary W.
