1
EFFLUENT_MONITORING
' One sediment control structure is monitored at Mine 3 Pond B. In addition,
Station 24 is located at the reclaimed area of the abandoned Middle Creek
' underground mine.
Flows
The flow rate data for the effluent sites are summarized on Table 14. The
historic discharge data for Station 24 is presented in Figure 21.
Discharges from these ponds are effected by seasonal variations in
' precipitation. There was no measured discharge from Station 76 (Pond 8) in
1989. The discharges from this station are generally small . There were only
' a few measurable discharges from Station 24 during spring runoff.
Water Quality
Summaries of the water quality data for the two effluent sites are presented
on Tables 21 through 23 and on Figure 21. The plot shows that the discharge
sites did not have any detectable effect on the water quality in Riddle
' Creek. Neither site is exhibiting in long term trends. Since none of these
sites have significant discharges during the irrigation season they do not
cause any significant impacts.
1
1
- 8 -
