Pendleton <br />Mined Land <br />Rerlamatinn n;..'_;_~ <br />Technical and Scientific Coordinator <br />Subject: Transmittal of April 1992 Quarterly Sample Analyses for <br />Battle Mountain Gold's San Luis Gold Project, Costilla <br />County, Colorado, Permit No. M-88-112. <br />Project No. 5284 <br />Dear Dr. Pendleton: <br />Quarterly water samples were collected in April 1992 at Battle <br />Mountain Gold's (BMG) San Luis Gold Project in accordance with the <br />quarterly sampling required in Permit No. M-88-112. This sampling <br />coincided with the issuance of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Division's (CMLRD) Abatement Plan on April 24, 1992. Therefore, we <br />are forwarding the quarterly water quality data to you as required <br />under Section 3 of the Abatement Plan for Permit No. M-88-112. <br />Hereafter, samples will be collected at the locations identified in <br />the document entitled "Quality Assuralce/QualityConlrolProtocolsfortheCollection <br />of Surface and Ground Water Quality Data, San Luis Gold Project, Costilla County, Colorado, <br />("Protocols") dated April 1992, on a bi-weekly basis and the <br />analytical results will be reported to you within three days after <br />the analytical results are received by BMG. The first biweekly <br />samples were collected on May 7-8, 1992; however, the analytical <br />results have not been received to date from the laboratory. <br />The locations of the currently-installed surface and ground water <br />monitoring points that are sampled under the CMLRB permit are shown <br />in Figure 1.
