Dedicated Monitoring Wells Down-Gradient At Remote Site
Wells established to monitor down-gradient at the remote site or maxi-pad are:
Wells Aquifer
IRI-7 Dissolution
IRIS B-Groove
IRI-4 A-Groove
IRI-8 Perched
IRI-5 Perched
The remote down-gradient wells were recompleted in August and water quality sampler
installed in August -September, 1990. Initial water quality results indicated a mixture of
• water across all four aquifers which does not compare to other monitoring sites. The maxi-
pad had open hole completions and wells may have commingled aquifers for up to ten
years. Note the final well (IRI-5) on this site was recompleted July, 1991.
During recompletion, field water quality analysis indicated <1,000 conductivity for the
Perched aquifer and >20,000 conductivity for the Dissolution Surface aquifer, and that was
how sampling depth was selected. After a period of time, the aquifer data was expected to
reflect characteristics of aquifers at other monitoring locations. Tables 6-10, 6-11, 6-12,
and 6-13 summarize water quality data for period of record. No table was produced for
IRI-8 as lab analysis was reduced to annually.

63
