The total area contained within the four sodium leases or mining unit is 8,222.6 acres. The <br />location of the principle operation is: T.1 S., R.98W., Section 26. Figure 2-1 shows the four <br />sodium lease tracts, plant site, access routes for right-of-ways for electrical power, natural <br />gas, monitoring and water wells and road to the plant site. <br />2.2 Leasehold Status <br />The four sodium leases were renewed by the BLM, June 28, 1991 for a period of ten years <br />effective July 1, 1991. Approval for unitization of the four leases was effective January 1, <br />1993. <br />3.0 PROJECT STATUS AND SCHEDULE <br />3.1 Status <br />3.1.1 Regulatory Submission/Approvals <br />WRN submitted routine logs, surveys, APD's, Sundry Notices, monthly, and quarterly <br />reports to appropriate agencies. In addition to the routine submissions, a revised Mine <br />Plan was submitted and approved by the BLM and EPA for Volume 5, Section 6.0 (mining). <br />The Revised Mine Plan included: cementation of production well annulus to surface, <br />deletion of annulus pressure requirement, placement of submersible pumps at 800'-1000', <br />increase injection point interval (mining), and production well abandonment procedure.
