~ ~ MINING PARCEL N0. 1 on (ALP1)
Activity at (O.E.) no. 1 consisted of cleaning out the bottom of
the excavation and drilling 12 Boles for blasting purposes. The
holes were plugged and covered. The shot will be pulled at first
opportunity offered next spring (1994)• No other work here in 1993.
MINING PARCEL N0.
Activity at (O.E.)
Activity at {O.E.)
The reclamation of
by 3o x 80 0.055
4 3-~-
2 on (A
no. 1
no. 2
(O.E.)
acre.
LM)
Partial backfilling/contouring/seeding.
Complete backfilling/contouring/seeding.
Reclaimed.
no. 2 will increase reclaimed areas total
MINING PARCEL N0. 3 on (ALM)
Activity at (O.E.) nos. 4, 10, 11 & 12 None in 1993 season.
Activity at (O.E.) nos. 2, 5 & 9 Excavations were increased in
average depth as follows: no. 2 from J' to 10'; no. 5 from
6' to 9'; no. 9 A small portion at the Northwesterly corner
of the actual excavation was increased from 4' to 6'; the
easterly and southerly part of the actual excavation was
partially backfilled.
Activity at (O.E.) nos. 3 & 9 Excavations were both partially
backfilled.
Activity at (O.E.) nos. 1, 6, 7 & 8 Excavations and most of
rectangular enclosing limits were backfilled/contoured during
1992 season & seeded during 1993 season. (Reclaimed)
Another 50' X 100' (0.115 acre) area that had been hand dug years ago
(which concerned the U.S.F.S. inspecting representative) was
completely leveled out/contoured/seeded (Reclaimed). No (O.E.)
number was assigned to this area because this "Operator" does not
believe this area is really its responsibility. However, the area
is labeled O.D. which stands for "Old Digs".
At the beginning of the 1992 mining season there existed a total
of 1.'751 acres of open excavations.
At the beginning of the 1994 mining season there will be a total
of 1.400 acres of open excavations related to the subject "Operation"
The total of the area of the reclaimed sites will be 0.3$1 acre
which represent accepted responsibility of the "Operator". Another
area disturbed by "Old Timers" (prior to my tenure) amounts to an
additional 0.115 acre reclaimed by this "Operator". So, the total
reclaimed surface is then equal to 0.351 + 0.115 or 0.466 acre and
the areas still subject to assessment work/exploration/mining stand
at 1.400 acres at the beginning of the 1994 mining season.
In order to satisfy requirements related to a "Storm Water Management
Plan" (Permit No. COG 500808 issued by Colorado State Water Quality
Control Division) it is necessary for the "Operator" to adequately
construct berms across storm-water run-off outfall points at existing
open excavations. This is being accomplished wherever applicable
as work continues.
No structures of any kind have been erected on any of the "Mining
Parcels" subject under this "Operation".
