..
January 1, 1994
John 0. Buckner ~i
2516 Waldean St.
Colorado Springs
Colorado 80909-4015 ~/
Tel. (719) 634-4042 `
Division of Minerals and Geology
Department of Natural Resources
Attn: Michael B. Long
1313 Sherman St. Room 215 ~~~1;+ y ~
Denver, Colorado 30203 6,Oy4~
Re: "Crystal, jack" Mining - John 0. Buckner "Operator"
Mining/Reclamation Permit No. M-93-030 (Annual Report)
As required and directed I am hereby submitting a report and
updated Affected Lands Map (ALM) to provide information regarding
mining/reclamation operations that were accomplished on the areas
subject under permit no. M-93-030.
Please find attached an updated (ALM) and personal check made out
to the Division of Minerals and Geology for $7$.00 (1993) as
required for a Two-Acre Limited Impact Operation (110(1)).
The (ALM) has been supplied with a supplemental LEGEND item which
explains a color code that has been utilized at different locations
on the (ALM) to indicate the extent of any mining or reclamation
work accomplished during the 1Q93 season running from April 15th
through November 30th. 1 am of the opinion that the color code
is satisfactorily self explanatory. Because of the limiting scale
of the map, any prolific notes at the sites would only clutter up
tl~e map and confuse the examiner. The colors tend to stand out
and offer the examiner an immediate comprehension of not only the
type of application, but also the extent, as near as the "Operator"
could put it on the map to scale. Unless the examining authority
leas reasonable objections to this method, it is the Operator's
intent to submit similar "update" maps in the future. If no color
other than black or white appears at a site then there was nothing
of significance done at that site during tl~e 1993 season.
The following report is submitted and can be compared with the
information shown on the (ALM).
The Operator was restricted to only hand labor operations up until
August 30, 1993 when a small crawler/dozen with operator was
available and hired for 21 hours and again hired on September 7,
1993 for another 15 hours. On September 13, 1993 an air compressor
with rock drills and operator/driller was hired for 10 hours.
These hires comprise the total of machine work utilized throughout
the 1993 season. Of the dozer work at least 14 hours was devoted
to reclamation work and the remaining 22 hours to assessment /
exploration/mining work.
