~.
ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT
The purpose of this report is to comply with the Mined Land Reclamation
Act of 1976, Statute 34-32-112 of House Bill No. 1065. This report follows
the outlined requirements found in the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board, Section 2.4 covering annual reports.
The permit for the Lyons Quarry was issued on 6-24-78. Since this is
the first report to be submitted for our permit, I would like to show the
different areas we have reclaimed in the years prior to the reclamation
permit. This will alleviate any gaps that might occur in the future.
The areas outlined in red are the mining and stripping areas which are
• considered major disturbance. The areas outlined in purple represent stock-
pile and waste dump areas. The areas outlined in green are the areas that
have been reclaimed.
The mining and stripping areas which are considered major disturbances
include: (A) 82.3 acres in the east portion of the mine. This area was
opened prior to 1973; (B) 2.3 acres opened in 1977; (C) 7.4 acres in the
northern portion of the mine opened in 1976; (D) 35.0 acres opened before
1975; (E) 25.4 acres in the southwestern part of the mine opened in 1976;
(F) 7.2 acres opened in 1977; (H) 1.7 acres opened in 1976; and (G) 3.2
acres opened in 1978; G is the only area opened up in the 6-78 to 6-79
reporting period. All total, there are 164.5 acres under major disturbance
in the mining areas.
1
