1 <br />Specification Aggregate Qitarn~ : Spring 2001 Reclamation Reporf <br />Tables 2 and 3. Labels for the seed mixtures used are contained in Appendix A. <br />Except for reclamation area Ol-2 Upper, pedestrian broadcasfing was used to <br />plant 75% of the seed, with the remaining 25% being applied along with the <br />hydromulch. In reclamation area 01-2 Upper, 100% of the seed was applied by <br />pedestrian broadcasting. Great Basin wildrye was also selectively seeded along <br />the grass transplant rows in reclamation azea Ol-2 Upper <br />Hydromulching <br />Hydromulching operations applied Ecofiber at an average rate of 1.00 ton <br />per acre. Ecofiber was tackified with approximately 200 pounds of R-Tack per <br />acre. Hydromulckt was applied as uniformly as possible. Hydromulching was <br />performed on all areas except reclamation area Ol-2 Upper. <br />Transplants <br />A total of 1,350 woody and 2,000 grass plants were transplanted. <br />Placement of transplants is described below for each reclamation area. <br />Transplants included containerized and haze root materials. All transplants were <br />fertilized. Bareroot plants were innoculated with michorhyza spores and a <br />polymer was included with each transplant to aid in moisture retention and <br />supply. <br />In reclamation areas Ol-1, Ol-3 and Ol-4 woody plant materials were <br />transplanted at a density of about 1 per 400 square feet (i.e., 20-foot centers). The <br />following species were planted in these areas: <br />Woody Transplants: Reclamation Areas Ol-1, Ol-3, Ol-4 <br />Silver Buffaloberry (1-Gallon) Golden Current (bazemot) <br />Threeleaf Sumac (bareroot) Mountain Ninebazk {10 CU) <br />Curl-leaf Mountain Mahogany (10 CU) Wood's Rose (10 CU) <br />A total of 360 transplants were placed, with 60 being from each species. <br />A total of 1,000 bare-root woody species transplants were planted in <br />reclamation azea 01-2. About 800 of these plants were placed in the upper <br />Habitat Management, Inc. 2 5/8/Ol <br />
