Final Wes[ Elk Mine 2005 Annual Hydrology Report 17 <br />• 3.2.2 Springs above the B Seam in the Box Canyon Area in the North <br />Fork Drainage Basin <br />3.2.2.1 SbrinQ 11-2 <br />n <br />LJ <br /> <br />Spring 11-2 is located east of Box Canyon on a hillside on the south side of the North Fork. This <br />spring is north of the Box Canyon Panels. It issues from alluvium below a sandstone cliff, has <br />seasonal flow, and is often dry in summer and autumn. <br />3.2.2.2 Spring 70-1 <br />Spring 10-1 is located on the east side of lower Box Canyon. It is located north of the Box Canyon <br />Panels and issues from alluvium on slopes tributary to the North Fork. Flow is seasonal and it is <br />typically dry in late summer. <br />3.2.2.3 Sprin, E70-2 <br />Spring E10-2 is located on a hillside east of an unnamed drainage tributary to the North Fork <br />between Sylvester Gulch and Box Canyon. This spring is in landslide material below a fractured <br />sandstone cliff. It is located north of the Box Canyon Panels. Flow has not been observed during <br />the past 3 yeazs. <br />3.2.2.4 Spring IS-/ <br />Spring 15-1 is located on the west side of an unnamed drainage tributary to North Fork between <br />Sylvester Gulch and Box Canyon_ This spring is located north of the Box Canyon Panels. The <br />spring issues from alluvium and water is present only during peak flow months. <br />3.2.2.5 briny, G_Ia <br />Spring G-la is located in Sylvester Gulch on the west side of the drainage, north of the Box <br />Canyon Panel area. It issues from alluvium and is seasonal with moisture present only during <br />periods of snow melt or peak flow. <br />3.2.2.6 Spring G-20 <br />Spring G-20 is in middle Sylvester Gulch on the east side of the drainage. It is located north of the <br />Box Canyon Panels and east of the mine facilities.
