to within 100 ft. of the western boundary of the permitted
area, and the boundary should be reached by the beginning of
1114. The operator will be moving the crusher back and forth
from its present location in the original Phase I to the
location shown in this area. As the operation moves closer
to the western boundary of the permitted area , the crusher
may be moved further west as needed . The topsoil stripped
from this area has been piled off to the west of the 28
permitted acres on land owned by the operator which was
mistakenly believed to be inside the permitted area.
In the three-acre excavated area shown on the revised
plat, the slopes have been graded , seeded and mulched. This
has been completely successful, but this is only a temporary
measure. The full plans for reclamation as provided with
the original application have not been implemented and will
be reserved until feasible in light of continuing operations .
Because of the misunderstanding of the plat as it actually
would fall on the ground, possible timetables for reclama-
tion are being studied again by the operator , and we would
propose that a new timetable be submitted with the applica-
tion for an amended permit covering the entire acreage to be
mined.
The revised plat attached to this report has been sub-
mitted to and approved by Eagle County. A copy of the most
recent resolution of the County on the pit ' s Special Use
Permit is also attached.
-3-
