Affected acres - 28.00: The areas disturbed are associated with the main entrance facility, parking, maintenance, buildings and heliport areas (4.00 acres; area 1), expansion of the lower, upper and research mine benches, raw shale dumps, buildings and scaling (9.00 acres; area 2), old surface retort facility, runoff erosion control, storage area and experimental activities (1.00 acre; area 3). Surface con- trol facility buildings, drill pads exhaust stack, raise bore, substation and communication facilities (2.00 acres; area 4), expansion of the Heater-Treater area (<1.0 acres; area 5). Widening of the surface road (5.00 acres; area 10). Clain access road active berms (6.00 acres; area 11), buried cable at h1et. station and access road (2.00 acres; area 67). 2. Location and number of acres reclaimed Location - Access road realignment areas - B1, 62, 63, and access road used for the installation of commercial power to the h1et. Tower - 66 (areas are located on maps LWR 1 and 2). Affected acres - 4.59 (refer to Table 1 for itemized acreage values). 3. The location and number of acres in various stages of reclamation (backfilled, graded, revegetated). Location - see maps LWR 1 and 2. Affected acres - Backfilled: Commercial and research raw shale dump areas (area 2) - 20.89. Graded: Main entrance facility, parking area, heliport (area 1), surface overflow ponds, drill pads and control facility (area 4), Heater-Treater plant (area 5), surface access road, Logan Wash access road, commercial and re- search mine (area 2) - 131.98 acres. Revegetated: Logan Wash and surface access road realign- ment areas 61, 62, 63, and access road used for installa- tion of commercial power cable to Met. Tower, area 66 - 4.59 acres. These acres have been revised from past years based on surveys and aerial photos taken during 1980. Acres of disturbance and revegetation in 1980 and prior to, are listed in Table 1. Areas that are listed as being in a graded condition are areas where continued activity permits only temporary stabilization.
