pedestrian means using belt mounted /hand operated seed distributors. Visual identification and
seeding of the thinner areas could be accomplished in about one man-hour. It is also recommended that
Snowcap work with the local rancher and/or the BI.M to reduce the impact of domestic ptHe on the
revegetated areas. the continued dedine or complete bss of grasses and forte is possible in the coming
years under the present grazing regime.
It is also possible that other disturbance areas at Snowcap will require a modest touch-up or
reseeding from time to time, especally because of livestock or wild horse grazing pressure in the area.
Depending on the amount of reseeding necessary, the bond release dock could be reset so the COMG
should be consulted for any larger efforts. However, for smaller "touch-up" efforts Cedar Leek would
recommend that Snowcap personnel keep a few pounds of the following utility mix handy (stored in a
cool dry place) for occasional use as needed.
Species Lbs acre Seeds / ft
Cool-season grasses
Bluebunch wheatgrass Pseudoroegneria spicata ssp. s. 2.0 5.37
Thickspike wheatgrass Elymus lanceolatus ssp.
