i .-;~.
/~/77'O Q
EXHIBIT E: RECLAMATION PLAN
After 31 Years, when the anticipated 1if of this mine
has expired, all that portion of the mine not underwater
will have been revegetated.r-Additionally, cottonwood
i
trees will remain in the X100` band between the mine and
~~~
the river, and continue to provide an excellant habitat
for bald eagles and other species of wildlife.
Although completion of the first stage of the mine is
not expected to be accomplished in less than 16 years,
efforts will have been made throughout this period to
ensure establishment of stable, irregular pit slopes and
• floor, drainage of the site, and protection of the natural
resources on the site not actually part of the mine.
By the completion of each stage of the mines development
final grading and revegetation for the area of the stage
will be substantially complete. Steps toward successful
revegetation will entail shaping and redistribution of
' soil to provide adequate 6"-8" cover and drainage.
Per recommendations of the Colorado Division of Wildlife,
grading will be performed in such a manner as to leave
pit sideslopes and the shale floor of the pit irregular.
Care will be exercised during this process to ensure
that remainind deciduous natural woodland vegetation on
the site is saved.
