• Following preparation of a firm seedbed, a seed mixture
specified by the Soil Conservation Service will be
broadcast. Though a range survey to be accomplished
at the time of the revegetation efforts may change the
mixture, seed suggested at this time includes the
following grasses and rates: (broadcast)
Grasses Seeding Rate ~{/Acre % Mixture PLS ~~/Acre ~
~e`~' ~
Western Wheatgrass 16.0 60 9.6 ~ 7J
Switchgrass 5.0 ~ 20 1.0
Redtop 0.36 ~ 20 0.2
60~~ - 80~p per Acre of both Nitrogen and Phosphorous will
also be applied at the time of seeding and followed by a
straw of hay mulch applied at the rate of 2 Tons/Acre.

As Mr. Chambers currently has the area fenced, further
efforts to protect the newly planted site from livestock
damage will.not be necessary__-
A narrow road will remain just south of the fence forming
the northern boundary of the affected land. This roadway
will not only provide access to the farmland immediately
north of the fence, but through the improved land to the
property on west of the pit site.
Of the total 40.83 Acres of affected land included in this
application, 38.74 Acres will eventually be below water.
This is due to the fact that the great majority of the 15'
depth of mineable aggregate is located below the 2' - 4'
