Experimental transplanting of native <br />juniper trees has not been successful to date. <br />(3) Location and Number of Acres in the Various Stages of Reclamation. <br />Cut 2 and most of the old dump area, totaling 72 acres, has been <br />designated as minor disturbance. These areas have been covered <br />with about six (6) inches of topsoil and will be seeded by a <br />drill early in 1982. <br />Topsoil and topsoil substitute removal from Cut 4 has started. <br />This material is being used to cover the previously stabilized <br />overburden pile north of and removed from Cut 2. This area, in- <br />cluding the slopes currently calculates to be about 23 acres. <br />(4) Species of Vegetation Planted, the Location and Dates of Planting. <br />Planting to date has been limited to test plots and stabilization <br />of topsoil stockpile as previously reported. <br />(5) Type and Approximate Quality of Fertilizers, Organic Material <br />or Soil Conditioners Use and Location o Use. <br />Not applicable at this time. <br />(6) Appraisal of Results of Reclamation Efforts <br />Not applicable at this time. <br />(7) Estimates and Location and Number of Acres to be Affected <br />in t e Coming ear. <br />This estimated areas, outlined in yellow on the map, comprise about <br />18 acres of the north portion of Cut 2 where limestone quarrying <br />will continue, and about 50 acres of Cuts 2 and 4. As an approxi- <br />mate 3-year supply of limestone is present in Cuts 3 and 4, Cut 5 <br />will not need to be bonded for stripping to start before the <br />1982 report anniversary. <br />(8) The Effective Date of the Information Provided Above and as <br />out ine on Map 3 7 C is about October 1, 9 1. <br /> <br />R.
