Total disturbance to date in Phase 1 is 17.61 acres ±. We mined all area stripped except a small area within the transportation corridor on the south side of Stage I, 1.93 acres ± (brown). The floor area increased by 1.43 acres ± as the face of the mine moved into the stripped area. The current face area is approximately 4.49 acres (yellow). Total disturbance is 25.34 acres ± including Stage 1, and Phases A, w, X, Y, and Z. (2) No reclamation was required this year. Tlie scale house and scale was removed from Phase X in 1990 and initial grading around the buildings is complete in Phase y (pink). Minor amounts of backfill were placed in the valley on the eastern side of Phase 1 as approved (blue) and continued in Phase Z as approved (green). The table below outlines the various stages of reclamation at the pit. The mine face will continue to move to the east towards the line between Stages 1 and 2 as planned. Depending on the demand for material, additional stripping maybe required in Stage 2 (tan} as the face moves east. In addition, we may begin to shape the top of the area between the road and the mine area, above 7400 feet, this amounts to 1.35 ac. ± (orange). Backfillinq will continue in Phases 1, and Z until they are complete. (4) If the material is available the backfilling in Phase Z will be completed and the area will be graded and prepped for revegetation next spring. Otherwise no other reclamation is called for.
