_~
- INSPECTION REPORT
HAYDEN GULCH MINE
H-G COAL C0~'IPANY - 041NER
YAMPA MINING COMPANY-CONTRACT OPERATOR
MARCH 31, 1983
The inspection of the permanent waste dump located in the east half of
Section 30, T5N R88W was required in the Surface Coal Mining and Re-
clamation Operations - Permanent regulatory Program. The area bound-
aries on the attached map are only rough approximations.
1. Area A-1 is reclaimed and all slopes are 3:1 or flatter and
appear stable. Vegetative growth is not evident due to snow
cover but is expected to be as productive as last fall. Area
A-2 is reclaimed This area contains slopes as steep as
2.3:1 but is a cut slope, not a fill embankment, and it ap-
pears stable.
2. Area B has been recontoured, topsoiled, seeded, and mulched.
Vegetative growth that was evident last fall is currently
covered with snow. All slopes in Area B are 3:1 or flatter
and appear stable.
3. Area C has been recontoured, topsoiled, seeded, and mulched.
Vegetative growth is not evident due to snow cover but is
expected to be as productive as the other areas. The slopes
are 3:1 or flatter and appear stable.
4. Area D has been recontoured to a 3:1 slope. The area has
been topsoiled, seeded and mulched. Vegetative growth is not
evident due to snow cover but is expected to be as productive
as the other areas.
5. Drainage from the dump area is controlled by interceptor
channels and sediment control structures so as not to degrade
surface or ground water.
