Two native-seeded reclaimed areas (1995 and 1998) had, as of 2001 and <br />2002, very substantial presence of native perennial forbs (11.6 and 5.1 per 100 sq.m.). Wadge <br />Pasture has increased from 2.4 native perennial forbs species per 100 sq.m. in 2002 to 3.4 per <br />100 sq.m. in 2003. This may be the result of the drought of 2000 through 2002 as the very <br />competitive dominant grasses were stressed and perhaps rendered less oppressive to perennial <br />forbs. <br />17 <br />
