The
item numbers below are the same as that letter.
General Comments
1. Thank you for the compliment.
2. This will be corrected in the next AHR.
3. This will be performed during the permit renewal this
winter.
~4.a) This will also be done this winter.
,~4.b) The wells referred to have all been removed by mining.
Table 7-81 of the PAP will be updated this winter. Table 3
of the AHR indicates the correct status of the wells.
/ 5. See last two sentences of preceding comment.
Spoil Wells
1. Both spoils and topsoil were regraded. As to why regrading
would change the water levels, I cannot explain, I was
simply making the obsenr~vation. ~~ r~zs ~~ ~ ~~SEVW~2r~ ~~ wai ~
Bedrock Wells ^ ~s,a„~e• ~a..~1t o~~~S ~~w7!- ~)
/1. Well GW-S21-U is upgradient of the fly ash pit that was
operated by the now non-existent Colorado-Ute Electric
Association. Furthermore, it is in a pre-SMCRA area. Due
to these factors, monitoring of this area has been minimal.
Seneca Coal Company P.O. Drawer D ' Hayden, Colorado 81639
Telephone (970) 276.3707 FAX (970) 276-3014
