s Mined Land Reclamation Board February 15, 1982 Page Two In addition to the trees and shrubs planted, we seeded the bank of our main haul road to the top of the quarry with the following seed mix: Smooth Brome at 6 lbs/acre Pubescent [Theat Grass at 6 lbs/acre Western Wheat at 6 lbs/acre Russian Wild Rye at 6 lbs/acre Yellow Sweet Clover at 2 lbs/acre The above seed mix was broadcast seeded in May. The results were l;ood with the spring and summer rains allowing the seed to take hold. (Please see map for planting locations.) 5. The type and approximate quantity of fertilizers, organic material, or soil conditioners used and location of use: No fertilizers, organic material, or soil conditioners used. 6. An appraisal of the success of reclamation efforts, and in the event of failure of any efforts, a short narrative on the suspected or determined cause of such a failure: The success of the reclam~ition efforts can be found in paragraph 3 and 4. Any lack of success: can be attributed to the arid environment. The oncoming growing season will be the crucial stage in last year's plantings. The succe;.s of this reclamation will he reported in next year's annual report. 7. Estimates of the location and number of acres affected in the coming year: 104 acre s. (Same as this year; please note location on ms.p.) 8. The effective date of the information provided shall he no more than 45 days prior to anniversary date: Effective date of information is February 12, 1982. NOTE: Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc. has just recently submitted a Technical Revision and an Amendment to the PSI,RB to be heard in March. These applications will bring the Reclamation Board up-to-date with the current zoning at our operation and allow for a better overall mining and reclamation plan.
