s <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />February 15, 1982 <br />Page Two <br />In addition to the trees and shrubs planted, we seeded the bank of our main <br />haul road to the top of the quarry with the following seed mix: <br />Smooth Brome at 6 lbs/acre <br />Pubescent [Theat Grass at 6 lbs/acre <br />Western Wheat at 6 lbs/acre <br />Russian Wild Rye at 6 lbs/acre <br />Yellow Sweet Clover at 2 lbs/acre <br />The above seed mix was broadcast seeded in May. The results were l;ood with <br />the spring and summer rains allowing the seed to take hold. (Please see map <br />for planting locations.) <br />5. The type and approximate quantity of fertilizers, organic material, or <br />soil conditioners used and location of use: No fertilizers, organic <br />material, or soil conditioners used. <br />6. An appraisal of the success of reclamation efforts, and in the event <br />of failure of any efforts, a short narrative on the suspected or <br />determined cause of such a failure: The success of the reclam~ition <br />efforts can be found in paragraph 3 and 4. Any lack of success: can <br />be attributed to the arid environment. The oncoming growing season <br />will be the crucial stage in last year's plantings. The succe;.s of <br />this reclamation will he reported in next year's annual report. <br />7. Estimates of the location and number of acres affected in the coming <br />year: 104 acre s. (Same as this year; please note location on ms.p.) <br />8. The effective date of the information provided shall he no more than <br />45 days prior to anniversary date: Effective date of information is <br />February 12, 1982. <br />NOTE: Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc. has just recently submitted a Technical <br />Revision and an Amendment to the PSI,RB to be heard in March.
