Geotechnical studies referenced in Appen. 13-4 and 13-5.
CRDA-1--2:1 slopes with 10' benches on 30' intervals above the
first bench which is 50' high. Three subdrains installed
during initial construction. The outslopes of the fill are
considered to be the completed face between two benches. When
each new bench is constructed, the rough construction face
below that point will be completed by grading it to its final
configuration. Benches on CRDA-1 will be graded to the inside
at 2%-5%, and graded to drain to the sides at 2%-5%. CRDA 2
similar with exception that underdrains not installed and
slope between benches not to exceed 2.5:1.
Reference on Page 13-22 to stability concerns at CRDA 1
related to water levels in the pile. Reference to 1994
stability analysis and additional 30 piezometers with critical
target depths defined.
