Noise and dust pollutiordvisual impact to the site. Connell Resources currently
follows the laws and guidelines outlined by the Colorado Department of Health
1 regazding noise and air pollution and is in the process of applying for the appropriate
permits for this operation. These permits include the following:
' 1) Stormwater Dischazge Permit and Storm Water Management Plan
2) Air Pollution Emission Notification Permit (APEN).
Attachments E and F are the above mentioned permit applications and have been
submitted as proof of compliance.
Some concern was raised by the Latimer County Health Department that noise and
air pollution at the Wellington Downs operation could potentially impact on residents
' located on the west side of the operation. Connell is in the process of meeting with
azea residents to address their concerns of noise and air pollution. In addition, we
have submitted a plan to the Latimer County Health Department (Attachment G).
The visual impact to the azea is not expected to increase because of the movement
of the operation to the south. Connell Resources will limit the amount of distwbance
' and will create visual screens with landscaping.
' 7. Proposed structures. This operation will not build any new structures. Connell will
relocated their processing equipment and scale to the Wellington Downs property as
soon as approval to operate is granted. The asphalt batch plant at the Stute Pit will
' be moved to the Wellington Downs Pit in three years. All the equipment on located
at this operation is considered mobile and will be removed from the property
following the completion of the operation.
' 8. Proposed water and sewer systems. Sanitary facilities at the site will consist ofport-
o-let type toilets. Bottled water will be supplied to the employees.
' 9. Fire protection facility. Fire protection equipment will include fire extinguishers and
water hoses. This site falls under the jurisdiction of the Poudre Fire Authority and
' should be routinely inspected.
