The site is bounded to the East by I-25, to the
South by Larimer County Road 36(CR 36), to the West by an irrigation ditch and Larimer
County Road 7(CR 7) and to the North by a private landowner. This site is the future location of
an aggregate extraction operation to include bituminous pavement, aggregate base, and
miscellaneous materials production. Access to the site is proposed near the Northwest corner at
CR 7 and approximately at the center of the propeRy on the South at CR 36.
2.0 Trip Generation/Projected Volumes
Mining production is projected to reach 335,000 tons per yeaz at maximum capacity. At peak
quarterly capacity, the average tons per day is projected to be 1288.46. The following table
depicts the annual truck generation anticipated at the site.
TABLE 2.1 TRUCK TRAFFIC GENERATION
Quarter of the year Dec., Jan.,
Febr. Based on an
average carrying weight of 23 tons per load, the anticipated truck traffic generation is therefore
217 exitting and entering the site day per during this month. The maximum number of trips per
day generated by employees will be 40 and the anticipated number of miscellaneous trips
generated per day will be 8. The total maximum monthly ADT therefore results in 265 trips.
1
