The amount of stone being removed aver ges 150 tons
per year. There are no changes in the present mining plans, no
reclamation has been done with exception to that w ich was done
to comply with our original plan to move the mi ing area 100
feet from the road right-of-way. The area was co ered and re-
seeded but because of the grazing of llamas is not doing as well
as expected. We plan to continue quarrying in the existing
quarries as the demand for that color and type of s one.
SIT L- if
Arkins Park-Trupp-North A small amount of s one has been
removed from this quarry, but because it appears t at this area
is becoming depleted as far as marketable stone is concerned we
plan to begin reclaiming in the next year as time and equipment
can be made available for that project. Because a portion of
that quarry contains rare fossil footprints it ill be kept
exposed for future exploration of the prints.
Arkins Park-Trupp-South This area also in recla ation stages.
The top area has some select thick "saw blocks" tha will be left
exposed and available. The balance of the quarry ha had a large
amount of rip rap removed several years ago. The a are a large
number of small pine trees that have started g owing in the
quarry areas. We plan to finish covering, leveling, and re-
seeding in the coming year at the same time as the orth part.
These quarries were operational for 20-60 years.
SITE F
Arkins Park South - C&S - North Bud Quarry - T is quarry is
presently being actively quarried and will co tinue to be
active.
