i
To insure that the contour furrows continue to provide protection,
a small crawler dozer is utilized annually to clean the
furrows. This also helps to cover any Gopher holes that
may cause a blowout.
There was no evidence of any subsidance on the site this
year, both the East side and the Barrin Ridge was visually
inspected.
As a result of TR-19, which hydrologic monitoring was eliminated,
all monitoring wells were sealed. The disturbed areas around
the wells were cleaned up and broadcast seeded with the
dryland pasture mix. TR-29 addressed the need to monitor
surface water stations 1, 2, 3, until all reclamation was
accomplished. The fourth quarter 1991 will be the last sampling
for these stations, since all reclamation is done at the
site.
If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate
to contact me.
Sincerely
Michael Keegan
Project Manager
Enclosure
cc: Mr. Gerald Fawcett, Kaiser Steel Resources
Mr. Jerry Koblitz, Greystone Development
File
3
