• Bowie Resources Limited April 30, 2004 <br />Bowie No. 2 Mine <br />2003 Annual Hydrology Report <br />Table 4 contains local precipitation data for 2003. This data is no longer available from the <br />intemet at www.crh.noaa. og v/eit• Daily precipitation aze no longer available. 2003 data is <br />presented as monthly compilations. <br />Table 5 contains a listing of all monitoring points, with descriptions of their locations and a <br />reference to the Monitoring Point Figure that contains this yeaz's monitoring data. A notation of <br />whether a chart is included is provided in this table. <br />Monitoring point figures follow this introduction. Each Monitoring Point has an individual table <br />which tabulates the annual data collection and reports Minimum, Maximum, Average and <br />Baseline data. A reference in each footnote explains the period used for baseline data. <br />Flow data for the North Fork of the Gunnison river is obtained from the USGS from a website <br />http://nwis-colo.cr.usgs.gov/historic.html. This flow reading is obtained telemetrically from a <br />station neaz Somerset, CO and is reflective of upper river flows only. This monitoring point i<, <br />identified by the USGS as 09132500. <br />Flow data for the Fire Mountain Canal is obtained from the Division of Water Resources, Division <br />. N, 1540 E. Niagaza Street, Montrose, Colorado 81402. This flow is representative of the upper <br />flow. <br />Monitoring point identifiers neaz the mine portals are historic and follow no specific naming <br />convention. Monitoring points located in areas monitored for the PR-04 permit revision follow a <br />convention where the first letter(s) designates a water source type, such as "S" for Spring or "SP" <br />for Spring and Pond. The numeral(s) following the fast letter designate what Section the water <br />source is located, for instance, SP34-2 would be a spring and pond in Section 34. The numeral <br />sepazated with a dash indicates an index number for that point. SP34-2 would be the second <br />monitoring point found in Section 34. <br />CDPS Monitoring Points <br />DMRs aze submitted quarterly to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment <br />with copies to the Division of Minerals and Geology and aze included herein by reference. <br />North Fork Alluvium Monitoring Wells <br />Alluvial monitoring wells AW-1 through AW-6 aze located neaz the mine entrance along the north <br />side of Highway 133B. These wells are monitored quarterly for Feld pazameters and <br />semi-annually for full suite laboratory pazameters during the second and fourth quarters in <br />accordance with the permit application. Alluvial monitoring wells AW-7 through AW-9 aze <br />located near the mine entrance along the south side of Old State Highway 133. AW-10 cannot be <br />• reliably sampled due to a collapse of the casing, and will be eliminated from the monitoring plan. <br />2 <br />
