1 hearing. I've been in communication with him.
Z The firsC of the pages that you have is my
3 letter that summarized the Board's actions previously; the
4 next is the correspondence from him to me concerning this
5 hearing with an attachment to his contractor that he was
6 making arrangements with.
7 I'd like to give a real brief history to
g bring the Board back up to date again. This was a proposed
9 cyanide heap leach, two and a half miles north-northwest of
10 Idaho Springs. It was never permitted because bond on the
11 operation was never received; however, the Board did approve
12 the permit.
13 The Board found a violation, revoked their
14 permit approval, and recommended corrective actions that are
15 detailed in that first letter I gave you on July 23, 1980.
16 They deferred consideration of civil penalties until those
17 corrective actions were completed and had been inspected.
18 On Junc 2, 1981, Jim Mc/lydle and Jay Lucas
19 inspected the site. Very quickly, I think I'll let Jim
20 mention what he found there rather than me.
21 MR. McnRDLE: Well, the site has remained
22 unchanged, essentially, from the time that. the violations
23 were first noticed until we inspected tiie site. Nothing
24 was done on the site other than the removal of their
25 equipment.
Mir" vu•r err e.~ i~v,rr urn n<
r, niPnl lle.n hwi•l lr.p...,, ,.
l vm rro-,.~, dr. r...,J
l nrl. ~. , r.. r. ...l .,n 'l
