North Goodspring Well
• Sampling of the North Goodspring Well began in September
1989. The analyses do not indicate any potential problems
with the groundwater associated with Goodspring Creek.
A6 Well
As of January 1, 1993, the A6 Well superseded the A3 Well
as the monitoring site for undisturbed conditions upgradient
of mining activities. Water sampling at the A6 Well commenced
in August, 1992, allowing an overlap of data for comparison
with the replaced A3 monitoring well. Comparisons between A6
and A3 monitoring wells show numerous variances in
concentrations for the parameters tested. Keep in mind that
these variances are indicative of natural background
• conditions not influenced by mining activities since water
sampling occurred prior to expansion of mining activities
which could in any way influence the water chemistry.
2. STREETER FILL SURVEY MONUMENTS
Requirement
As per Rule 2.06 Special Categories, Colowyo is required to
monitor, quarterly, the 12 survey monuments on the face of
Streeter Fill.
Response
Two monuments are located at approximate 100' intervals
from the 6700' level to the 7200' level on the Fill. Refer to
the 1993 Annual Report Map for details regarding the specific
location of each monument. A printout of the survey data is
shown in Exhibit 10.
