. characteristics of Goodspring Creek, one of which was the
complete destruction and removal of many beaver dams in the
creek especially those dams which had impeded flow
measurements at the LGC monitoring site. No re-establishment
of beaver dams occurred at the LGC site, therefore, it is once
again possible to obtain flow measurements from the weir.
Tavlor Creek
Typical of the sporadic flows found in this drainage,
Taylor Creek showed very low and intermittent flow. No
significant changes in quality have been noticed to date.
To monitor any potential groundwater impacts due to the
Gossard Coal Loadout facilities, Colowyo currently utilizes
one down gradient monitoring well (Gossard well}. To monitor
any potential groundwater impacts due to mining activities,
Colowyo currently utilizes one down gradient monitoring well
(North Goodspring Well) and one up gradient monitoring well
(A-6 Well).
Gossard Well
This well continues to show very little fluctuations in
water quality. The analyses do not indicate any potential
problems with the groundwater associated with the Gossard Coal
Loadout Facilities.
•
3
