1 <br />1 <br />' September 28, 1998 <br />The Engineer or said representative, will prepare daily field reports throughout the <br />period of construction. The reports will summarize pertinent construction activities <br />and results of testing completed during the period that the engineer or engineer's <br />representative is on site. <br />' D. Test Records <br /> The Engineer will maintain a record of all tests. The earthwork tests will be <br /> recorded on a form applicable to the test being performed. The location of all <br />' earthwork record tests will be recorded and accurately described. A plan indicating <br /> the positions of all tests will be maintained. <br />' E. Construction Report <br /> On completion of the Work, the Engineer will prepare a construction report which <br />' will include a summary of results from all tests carried out as part of the quality <br /> assurance program, and as-built drawings. The Construction Report will be filed <br /> with the appropriate state regulatory agencies for placement of the working surface <br />' if necessary. <br /> 3.7 EXCAVATION AND DISPOSAL OF UNSUITABLE MATERIAL <br />' A. Materials excavated from the Site that are judged to be unsuitable for placement in <br /> the tailings pond, in the opinion of the Company's Representative, shall be disposed <br /> of as directed and approved by the Company or its representative and in <br />' accordance with applicable State and local government regulations. <br />' B. If hydrocarbon-contaminated material is encountered in the excavations, it will be <br />stockpiled, bermed and covered, as necessary, prior to disposal at a permitted <br /> offsite facility. <br />' 3.8 UNCOMPACTED BACKFILL <br /> A. Materials placed for grading fill, drainage gravel, or growth medium shall be placed <br />' in uniform lifts of approximately 8 to 12 inches. <br /> B. Place cover soil by dumping from the top of the slopes or from the base of the areas <br />' with "track-walking' uphill using bulldozers or other acceptable means as directed. <br /> C. Place grading fill or growth medium on areas from which tailings or impacted soils <br />' have been removed, as directed in the field. <br /> D. Compaction will not be required for backfill for grading fill, growth medium or other <br /> uncompacted. <br /> 3.9 FINAL GRADING AND PLACEMENT OF EROSION CONTROL DEVICES <br />Earthwork <br />J15461~SPEGSFNL.WPO X2200-13 <br />
