Honeywood Coal Company
1992 Annual Hydrologic Report
' Page 4
necessary for dust control. No records were maintained of the
' amount of water used for dust control.
Anticipated Impact
' There was no recorded flow of surface water from the permit or
adjacent area into either Naturita Creek or the San Miguel River
during the year. Bramiers Draw, Section 33 Creek and Broad Canyon
' were all noted as dry during the year. There was no discharge from
the sediment ponds during the year and all of the minor surface
run-off from the mine was contained in the ponds. As anticipated
the mine pits did not encounter any ground water during the year.
' Based upon the above factors, it is unlikely that the mine
operation had any impact on the hydrologic balance of the area.
1

1

1
