• Savage and Savage
Memorandum
To: Donald W. MacDonald, Coors Energy Company
From: Michael Savage, Savage and Savage, [nc.
Date: March 12, 1999
Subject: 1st Quarter 1999 Pest and Disease Inspection; Keenesburg Mine
File #: C-81-028
On March 11, 1999 [ conducted an inspection of the reclaimed and revegetated azeas at
the Keenesburg Mine for evidence of plan[ pests or diseases which could affect the re-
estabbshed vegetation at the Keenesburg Mine.
I did not identify any disease conditions at any of the 1985, 1986, 1987, or 1995 reclaimed
and revegetated azeas. Nor did I identify any plant pests which had affected the growth of
the vegetation during the past growing season. No baze areas, or areas which experienced
any infestation or blight were found during the inspection.
. I also inspected the 1997 seedings, new permanent seeding, and the recently interseeded
areas south of the sediment pond and west of the dugout, as well as the boundary areas
adjacent to A pit. I found evidence of the seeding rows, but no germination at this time.
In several azeas, evidence ofeazly green up by the cool season grasses was present.
CC: Keenesburg Pest and Disease Inspection File

-38-
