Banta. <br />Division Director <br />Re: Bear Mine No. 3 - Subsidence 8 Slope Stability Monitoring Report for <br />July, 1990 (Permit No: C-81-033) <br />Dear Mr. Bear: <br />The Division has reviewed the July 10, 1990 "Subsidence and Slope Stability <br />Monitoring" report submitted by UTE Engineering 8 Surveying Company, on behalf <br />• of the Bear Coal Company, The report presents the required semi-annual <br />submittal of the monitoring information at the bear No. 3 Mine. <br />The report is prepared in the same format as previous submittals. The <br />information is presented in a clear and concise manner, The information <br />indicates that no significant subsiaence has occurred, with all apparent <br />dislocation of monuments being less than the acceptable error limits for a <br />Second Order, Class II survey (1 part in 20,000), The slope stability <br />information collected for the monuments installed within the surface portal <br />facility area of the Bear No. 3 Mine also indicate that no settlement or <br />movement has occurred. <br />The report is acceptable as submitted, If you have any questions, please do <br />not hesitate to contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />~U~~ <br />~,.. <br />Matthew S.
