<br /> <br />The waste dump and stockpile areas include: (I) 4.6 acres which is <br />a raw material holding area considered a major disturbance; (J) 2.0 acres <br />which is also a raw material holding area and considered a major distur- <br />bance; (L) 18.0 acres which is a waste dump area, increased in size in <br />1981; (0) 15.4 acres opened prior to 1973 for raw material stockpile, <br />major disturbance; (DD) 8.8 acres opened in 1980 to be used for over- <br />burden disposal area, major disturbance; (JJ) 5.4 acres opened in 1981 <br />for raw material stockpile, major disturbance. There are 54.2 acres <br />designated as stockpile and waste disposal areas, all of which are con- <br />sidered major disturbances. This is a total decrease of 2.8 acres from <br />the last reporting period. <br />The areas reclaimed this year include area (K) 13.4 acres and area <br />(A1) 6.5 acres. These areas were seeded with a dryland pasture mix <br />• which includes: <br />39Y winter rye <br />13% ranger alfalfa <br />9°6 smooth broam <br />8Y intermediate wheat grass r: <br />7% slender wheat grass <br />8% Nordan crested wheat grass <br />6Y Russian wild rye <br />10% Jose tall wheat grass ff <br />All total, there are 156.9 acres that have been reclaimed; these <br />L <br />areas were seeded at a rate of approximately 50 pounds per acre and <br />fertilized at the time of planting with industrial ammonium nitrate at <br />a rate of approximately 200 pounds per acre. <br />2 <br />
