ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT
The purpose of this report is to comply with the Mined Land Recla-
mation Act of 1976, Statute 34-32-112 of House Bill 1065. This report
follows the outlined requirements found in the Rules and Regulations of
the Colorado Land Reclamation Board, Section 2.4, covering Annual Reports.
The permit for the Lyons Quarry was issued on 6-24-78. I will show
the areas reclaimed and the new areas opened up in the 1981-82 reporting
period.
The areas outlined in red are the mining and stripping areas which

are considered major disturbance. The areas outlined in blue represent
stockpile and waste dump areas. The areas outlined in green are the
areas that have been reclaimed. The cross-hatched areas are the areas
reclaimed and opened up for this reporting period.
The mining and stripping areas which are considered major disturbances
include: (A) 75.8 acres in the east portion of the mine opened prior to
1973 and reduced in area in 1982; (B) 2.3 acres opened in 1977; (C) 7.4
acres in the northern portion of the mine opened in 1976; (D) 29.2 acres
opened before 1975 and reduced in area in 1982; (E) 25.4 acres opened in
1976; (F) 7.2 acres opened in 1977; (G) 3.2 acres opened in 1978; (H) 1.7
acres opened in 1976; (AA) 8.2 acres opened in 1979; (BB) 11.0 acres
opened in 1980; (CC) 17.6 acres opened in 1980; and (EE) 5.9 acres opened
in 1982. "EE" is the only area newly opened in the 6-81 to 6-82 reporting
period. All total, there are 194.9 acres under major disturbance in the
mining areas.
•
