' © Mr. James Burnell
January 7, 1998
Page 3
9.0 PREVIOUSLY RECLAIMED AREAS
Reclamation of a total of 109.1 acres of mining-related disturbance within the Kerr permit
area was completed prior to 1987. These reclaimed areas are shown on the 1996
Reclamation Map.
10.0 GRAZING
No livestock grazing occurred during 1997 due to problems in coordinating with the local
rancher who has been involved in the grazing program in the past. Increased use of the site
by wildlife (primarily elk) for browse during the fall and early winter has, however, been
observed by Jim Mossman, who continues to monitor the site.
11,0 REVEGETATION SUCCESS EVALUATION
Revegetation success sampling was completed by Rocky Mountain Reclamation for
approximately 109.1 acres of existing reclaimed area and the low sagebrush and big
sagebrush reference areas during a period from mid-July through early-August of 1996. The
results of the revegetation success sampling and evaluation are contained in a drafr report
prepazed by Rocky Mountain Reclamation. No additional revegetation success sampling
occurred during 1997.
12.0 TOTAL DISTURBANCE SUMMARY
Following is a table summarizing the total mining-related disturbance at the Marr Mine since
initiation of mining in 1974.
