Box 1488 <br />Paonia, Colorado 81428 <br />Attention: Basil Bear <br />Re: Subsidence monitoring - Pitkin Mesa Pipeline <br />Bowie Resources <br />Bowie pl Mine <br />Paonia, Colorado <br />UTE ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING COMPANY completed the subsidence <br />survey of the Pitkin Mesa Pipeline during October, 1995 for the <br />Bowie Resources #1 Mine. <br />This survey is based on control monuments established by Colorado <br />Westmoreland, Inc. and Cypress, Orchard Valley Coal Corp. They <br />have been in place for several years. The monuments are 4-inch <br />iron pipes with a fixed top plate that allows the Theodolite to <br />be placed directly on the top of the monument. See map for loca- <br />tion.
