However, the <br />operator provided detailed descriptions of locations where weed spraying was conducted. The <br />operator also provided a description of the herbicides used and the weed species targeted. BTU <br />Empire sprayed for control of Russian knapweed, Leafy spurge, Houndstongue, Whitetop, <br />Canada thistle and tamarisk. <br />Management of beaver activity and repairs to damage caused by beaver was conducted during <br />late fall 2005. Repair to irrigation ditches located south of the Portal No. 5 facilities area due to <br />beaver damage was conducted during 2006. <br />BTU Empire conducted rodent control for ground squirrels in a portion of the permit area near <br />the 7N-Angle dewatering borehole. Rodent control for ground squirrels was conducted using <br />Pro-zap (treated grain) and shooting the ground squirrels. This is consistent with rodent control <br />measures taken in 2005 in conjunction with Moffat County Extension Service. <br />f) Location ,number of acres, and date of planting of all previously vegetated areas: 262.0. No <br />changes from previous year (2005) report. <br />2) Additional info as committed to in the permit <br />Additional work conducted at the mine included clean up and removal of miscellaneous <br />equipment and debris, maintenance and repair of ponds and ditches. <br />
