- Wedge Coal. Well YW28 monitors coal seam rater quality in the Armand Drar basin. It
displays a level TDS trend. Wells YW29 and 30 exist in the Sage Creek basin. These two
wells display decreasing TDS trends.
- wedge Undecburden. well YWU28 monitors undezburden water quality in the Armand Draw
basin. It displays a decreasing TDS trend. Wells YWU29 and 30 exist in the Sage Creak
basrn. These two walls display decreasing TDS trends.
- wolf Creek Coal and Vndezburden. Well YWC31 monitors the Wolf Creek coal rater quality
in the Sage Creak basin. This yell displays a decreasing TDS trend. Well YV)CU31 monitors
the Wolf Creek underhurden xatar quality in the Sage Creek basin. This wall is normally
dry.
Comparison oY Ground Water Quality to Water V9a Standards. SCC has compiled a list of
ground rater standards for agricultural uses (Table 5). This list is composed mostly of
Colorado Department of Health (CDQH) ground rater standards as of Hatch 1999, although
other agency standazda have been used if the CDOe has na agricultural atandazd for a
particular parameter. Table 5 has footnotes to indicate the source of earn rater quality
standard.
Table 6 provides a comparison of ground water quality to agricultural atandazde. This
Paradox databasr generated table does not include the units of concentration (mg/1 or
ug/1) for each parameter. The unite used for each pazameter are the same as those listed
on the standards table (Table 5) and are also the same as those used in the rater quality
reports. The frequenry column on Table 6 indicates the number of e:ceadencas out of the
total number of saa~lea (i.e., 1/2 indicates one ~caedence out of two samples). Below is
a summary of standards that rare exceeded. Given in parantheais ie the sourer and use of
each standard.
Parameter Number of Walla
iron (COOtl, lrilgation) 1
manganese (CDOtl, irrigation)
die solved solids (VSEPA, irrigation) 6
sulfate (California, irrigation) 12

6
