Cyprus Empire Corporation Annual Reclamation Report - 1994
Given that the current disturbances are limited to those areas necessary for the operation
of the mine, CEC does not anticipate any large scale reclamation to be undertaken in the
near future, with the possible exception of the #9 Refuse Area. At such time as
reclamation commences, CEC will follow the approved reclamation plan found in Permit
C-81-044 using the approved seed mixtures. For a more complete discussion of the
surface areas involved, please refer to Permit C-81-044.
2. 1994 RECLAMATION
During 1994, no additional reclamation was conducted within the CEC area. Limited
reshaping and reseeding of a number of topsoil storage stockpiles was conducted as a
precautionary measure during the late fall.
In accordance with our permit, CEC installed some temporary diversions and a stockpond
in association with work being done by AMOCO on a portion of its' buried oil transfer
pipeline. Given that work in this area is not yet complete, CEC wishes to defer a final
acreage determination report until submittal of the 1995 report.
CEC has also included some general information related to the seven exploration drill
hole pads and one development drilling pad constructed during the late fall of 1994.
These sites are currently idle, and will be reclaimed in accordance with the NOI permit
and the mining permit respectively when ground conditions are more favorable this
spring.
