Mr. Boulay
1993/94 AHR Responses
Page 3
14. •DO was not obtained for SOM-l6-H due to equipment failure on 06/10/93.
•DO was not obtained for C-72-H on 6/10/93 due to equipment failure. Field pH and
conductance were collected for both sample dates. Laboratory analysis was not obtained for
the reason described previously. Please find attached the laboratory sheet with a fist of
parameter that were analyzed.
•SOM-129, JMB-12, and SOM-128 pH, specific conductance, and TSS analyses were not
wmpleted by the laboratory for the reason described previously. Please find attached the
laboratory sheets with a fist of parameters that were analyzed.
15. Please find a revised Page 6 enclosed that correctly states the sampling frequency for GP-1.
16. Tables E-4 and E-5 aze omitted. Please remove them from your copies of the report.
17. l~fine inflows were a component of the water collected in Pond MB-1, although a minor part
due to the typically small or "weepy" nature and short duration of past inflows. MCC does not
believe that sampling and analyzing individual inflows provides any usefirl data as the true
"impact" of mine water inflow quality is monitored by determining the quality of any Sows
wntaining such inflows that are to be discharged from the mine site (i.e, Pond MB-1).
18. Please find a revised Page 8 enclosed.
19. Please find a revised Page 9 enclosed.
20. TSS data was not obtained for MB-6 because the laboratory was not typically completing this
analysis (but do so now). Please find attached the laboratory sheet with a list of parameters
that were analyzed.
21. Please find a revised Page 11 enclosed. Table 5 should have read Table 6.
22. Please find a revised Page 15 enclosed (0.07 should have read 0.007).
23. Please find a revised Page 17 enclosed. No mine inflow water quality (primary) data is
available.
24. Please find enclosed a revised page 15 which wrrespond to the mine water numbers provided
in Table 6, page 9.
25. Please find a revised Page 16 enclosed. The claim has been withdrawn.
26. MCC will attempt to include observations about each of the sediment ponds in the AHRs.
