<br />• "Drawings" are defined as the drawings in conjunction with this Specification titled "San <br />Luis Project Tailings Disposal Area," and are in a series beginning with number 14719- <br />101; and <br />• All slopes are described in terms of horizontal distance: vertical distance. <br />l.4 Aoolicable Cedes and Regulations <br />The work shall conform to applicable federal, state, county, and local regulations. Test <br />procedures shall conform to applicable ASTM standards, as documented in the edition of the <br />' standards in force at the start of work. <br />2.0 SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />2.1 Contractor's Res nsibility <br />The Contractor shall examine these Specifications and Drawings to be aware of all conditions <br />at the site affecting execution of the work. These conditions include, but are not limited to: <br />1 • Selective borrowing within the approved borrow areas; <br />• Applicable safety and health regulations; <br />• Transportation and access conditions; <br />' Availability of utilities; <br />• Subsoil conditions; <br />' • Location, availability, and condition of construction materials; <br />• Climate and construction conditions at the site; <br />• Dust abatement requirements; and <br />' • Water source required for conswction. <br />2.2 Mobilization <br />Upon receipt of the notice to proceed, the Contactor shall furnish, mobilize, utd install such <br />' temporary works, materials, equipment, and construction facilities as are necessary for the <br />successful completion of the work. The Contractor shall also operate and maintain such <br />' temporary works, equipment, and construction facilities throughout the period of construction. <br />All temporary works, such as sanitation facilities, shall fully comply with the 2pplicable rules <br />and regulations of the governing authorities. <br />1 3 <br /> <br />
