<br />' 4.2.12.6 Acceptance <br />e The Contractor shall retain ownership and responsibility for the geomembrane until acceptance <br />by the Owner. The Owner shall accept the geomembrane installation when the installation is <br />finished and the adequacy of field seams and repairs has been verified, and testing, is complete. <br />Also required are certifications, as-built drawings, and a final inspection carried out by the <br />Quality Assurance Engineer. Any and all work required to facilitate the final inspection, such <br />' as cleaning of the liner shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The construction area shall <br />be cleaned of remnant pieces of geomembrane, debris, and garbage before acceptance. The <br />inspection procedures shall be as follows: <br />- The Quality Assurance Engineer shall be informed of readiness for final inspection when <br />installation is finished; <br />' - In certain cases and with the Quality Assurance Engineer's approval, a section of <br />installation may be released for inspection; <br />' - Seams, panel surfaces, and repairs shall be visually inspected during the inspection; <br />- Defects, suspicious looking welds, permanent wrinkles, and bridging shall be <br />distinctively marked for repair; <br />- Findings and corrective actions shall be documented; <br />- Arrangements for subsequent final inspection shall be made after corrective actions have <br />been completed; <br />' - The results of final inspection shall be documented. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />~'-5- <br />1 <br />
