' deployment. The geomembrane material shall not be folded or dragged and any damage to the <br />geomembrane shall be documented by the Quality Assurance Engineer and Contractor. Damaged <br />geomembrane shall either be repaired to the satisfaction of the Quality Assurance Engineer or <br />removed and replaced with acceptable geomembrane material if the damage cannot be <br />' satisfactorily repaired. Repair, removal and replacement of damaged geomembrane shall be at <br />the Liner Contractor's expense if the damage was caused by the Liner Contractor. <br />' 4.2.5 Geomembrane Conformance Testing <br />4.2.5.1 Tests <br />After delivery, the Engineer will obtain one geosynthetic sample per 100,000 square feet. The <br />sample shall be forwarded to the Third Party Laboratory for the following testis: <br />' - Density (ASTM D-792 Method A or ASTM D-12505); <br />~ - Carbon black content (ASTM D-1603); <br /> - Thickness (ASTM D-1593 or ASTM D-374 Method); <br /> - Tensile characteristics (ASTM D-638); <br /> - Puncture resistance (FTMS lO1B Method 2065); and <br />' - Carbon black dispersion (ASTM D-3015-85). <br />4.2.5.2 Samplin~Procedure <br />Samples shall be taken across the entire roll width and shall not include the fired 3 feet. Unless <br />otherwise specified, samples shall be 3 feet long by the roll width. The Engineer shall mark the <br />machine direction and the manufacturer's roll identification number on the saml-le. <br />' 4.2,6 Geomembrane Resin <br />t The geomembrane resin shall be new, first quality, very low density polyethylene (VI,DPE) <br />resin produced in North America and shall be compounded and manufactured specifically for <br />the purpose of producing flexible membrane.
