APPROXIMATE ACREAGE TO BE RECLAIMED IN NEXT REPORT YEAR: <br />7.0 <br />Mining during the report year continued on this permit site in the southern location of <br />Area 1, where it will be completed for mining in the eazly part of 2006. Please refer to <br />the attached Annual Report Map. Overburden from this azea was placed into the existing <br />area of overburden placement against the pit side on the western edge of the pit and also <br />removed from the site. No seeding or revegetation was implemented on this permit site, <br />as the overburden stockpile is in vazious stages of disturbance with the addition and <br />subtraction of material. Backfill along the pit-side of the high-water mazk of the South <br />Platte River in Area I is the only reclamation activity that occurred on this permit during <br />the reporting year. <br />Mining during the next reporting year will continue in Area 1 [o the east and into Area 5 <br />to the approved limits of mining. Reclamation during the next reporting yeaz should be <br />implemented as revegetation on the lower bench (Area 2) and will be completed in this <br />area. <br />Per the requirements of this permit, attached are groundwater-monitoring results for the 3 <br />monitoring wells located on the permit area that we are still monitoring. Monitoring well <br />#3 on the southeast perimeter has shown a slight decline in average water levels over the <br />course of this last year, but it is negligible, as that monitoring well is very deep and was <br />
