Additional small prospects were opened at
Sites G and P on the Wolf Fang for an additional total 0.03 acre. All these disturbances were
closed, re-contoured, and reseeded. All disturbances on a 10 percent or greater slope also had
silt fencing installed and were bermed below the disturbances. Apre-existing disturbance at
Site G was also reclaimed and reseeded.
Reclamation Accomplished to Date:
Site B, previously reclaimed was reopened to 0.25 acre current total. Of the 0.36 acre total new
disturbance for 2006, all but 0.03 acre has been reclaimed for a total of 0.33 acre reclaimed
during 2006. Trees will be planted on these sites eazly May 2007.
Field checks in October 2006 showed all newly reseeded azeas to be growing.
A total of 1.02 acres of 1.27 acres total disturbed have been reclaimed.
Preceding Year. 2005 Reclamation:
All of the new prospects and production excavations opened during 2005 were filled, reseeded,
and temporarily reclaimed for a total of 0.38 new acres. The excavations were filled, re-
contoured and shaped, reseeded, and planted with trees. Sixty mixed ponderosa and Douglas fir
were planted on the prospects opened during 2005 and on the lower portion of Site B.
Additionally, 60 trees, mixed ponderosa and Douglas fir, and 30 wax currant and 30 meadow
rose were planted on Site A in early May.
Proposed 2007 Operations:
Operations will be in conjunction with operations on Colorado Calumet Co. Inc. mining claims
and Crystaljack mining claims between early May through early August and be conducted
primarily using a John Deer 992 and/or 690 track hoe on the Smoky Hawk and Elk Hom claims
at Site B. An area on Site B will again remain open at the end of the season, approximately 0.3
acre. Completion at Site B is anticipated to be 2008.
