The volume of
soil salvaged end stockpiled in 1989 was 69.7 acre-feet. Therefore, the average soil replacement thickness will be 0.7 feet (69.7 acre-feet/96.6
acres).
(4)Area currently disturbed for the mine area (see Exhibit 93.2, Soil Balance Mep) which requires soil to be replaced. Soil has been replaced on
32.8 acres of reclaimed land. Soil is not needed on 46.7 acres of sail stockpiles. No soil wilt be replaced on those facilities which are to be
retained to compliment the final postmine land use. These facilities include the high water line area and spillway of Ponds 005 and 006 (5.0
acres), and a 100-foot-wide section of the mine entrance road (19.5 acres), Roed A (20.2 acres), end Roed G (21.8 acres).
The average soil replacement thickness for the mine disturbance area will be et least 1.3 feet (820.8 acre-feet/574.8 acres).
(5)Soil which currently exists in stockpiles (see Exhibit 93.2 of this report for sites in the mine area and Exhibit 9-2 of Permit C-B2-057 for
sites along the tie-across haul road. Table 93.1 Lists the soil volume for each stockpile.
