r
RULE 2.41(6): AN APPRAISAL OF THE SUCCESS DF RECLAMATION
EFFORTS, AND IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE OF ANY EFFORTS, A SHORT
NARRATIVE ON THE SUSPECTED OR DETERMINED CAUSE OF SUCH
FAILURE.
The comments included in last year's annual report
address this aspect. However, these problems may be
corrected to a significant degree once the backfilling of
the entire pit by Daniels Sand commences in the near future.
That will reduce many of the current steep grades to more
gradual slopes. That will help the difficult revegetation
situation.
RULE 2.41(7): ESTIMATES OF THE LOCATION AND NUMBER OF ACRES
TO BE AFFECTED IN THE COMING YEAR.
During the next year, work will continue on the further
removal of the dike of sand. It is also expected that
mining and final grading will increase on the west side of
the pit during the next year. Of course, this all depends
on the demand for sand which is expected to continue at a
low level.
MAP: Attached in the annual report map for this operation.
Page 3 of 3 1989-1990 SAND PIT ANNUL REPCRT
