It
should be possible to revegetate the area East to the
dewatering pond by the end of this year, approximately 4 1/2
acres.
It should be noted that upon completion of the present
active extraction area, the plan is to continue extraction
at the farthest area West, and continue to move Eastward,
rather than moving North and West. This will allow the haul
road shown to be utilized throughout the life of the pit,
and to remain at the same crossing of County Road 19E.
In regard to the revegetation of the areas mentioned above,
the farmer who uses the land as pasture is the one who did
the actual replanting. He indicates that he did not use any
fertilizer or other soil conditioners in the process.
However, the stand of grass is now quite good, and in use as
horse pasture. This use results in sporadic application of
fertilizer and organic material.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please
call.
Very truly yours,
9.
r
David Shupe ~ ,914 ~i.
Colorado P. 5914 ~~ G\~'WO,
Enclosure (2) ~9~f,~Hn~t~~PO~~
h~h'hOF CO~p,``~~.
cc: Loveland Ready-Mix
DS/lo
